- “ Absolutely wonderful cafe nestled between the houses overlooking the bowling green and Garlieston bay. Stare out to sea watching the waves crash ashore and clouds rolling by.
The cafe Itself is spotless, warm and welcoming. The staff greet you with a smile and cater for your every need. The coffee is fantastic and served hot! Not lukewarm like many other places.
The food is superb - tasty and quality ingredients and is very well priced what what you get. Dogs and walkers are welcome and free WIFI completes the full house.
Be sure to visit. It's even worth a short detour if staying nearby. Keep up the great work." - “A wonderful little cafe in the most delightful place - opposite the harbour at Garlieston. The food was delicious 😋 and the service was great. Our only difficulty was choosing what cake to take with us on our journey! There was so much choice and everything looks scrumptious!

No wonder they were winner of the Travellers Choice Awards 2024 - here's to more accolades in 2025" - “We always call in to the Hive at Garlieston when we are in the area, the welcome is warm and friendly, the coffee probably the best we have had in Scotland and the food is delicious and value for money. We run our own coffee businesses in Cornwall and are very discerning about where we get our “coffee fix”. I highly recommend this lovely little cafe right by the sea, what more could you possibly need!"
