Do you take table bookings?
Yes, we do take table bookings — but not online at the moment.
To book a table, please call us or email, and we’ll be happy to help. We recommend booking ahead for weekends, busy periods and event nights.
Do you have free Wi-Fi?
Yes, we have free Wi-Fi available for customers.
Whether you’re checking emails, planning your day or lingering a little longer over coffee, you’re very welcome to use it.
Are dogs welcome?
Yes! Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at The Hive.
We’re right by the sea, so we often see four-legged friends popping in after a coastal walk. Water bowls are available — just ask.
Are you right by the sea?
We are and the views are pretty special.
You’ll find The Hive by the harbour in Garlieston, making us a perfect stop for coffee, cake or lunch before or after a seaside walk.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
We do.
Our menu includes vegan and gluten-free options, and we’re always happy to help where we can. If you have a specific requirement, just let us know when ordering.
Do you offer takeaway?
Yes all our food and drinks are available to take away.
Perfect if you fancy enjoying your coffee or cake by the harbour or taking something with you for later.

We do.
From quiz nights to seasonal gatherings and special events, we host a range of relaxed, friendly events throughout the year. Tickets for events can be booked directly through our website.
Can I hire The Hive for a private event?
Yes,The Hive is available for private hire.
We host small celebrations such as birthdays, baby showers and family gatherings. For availability and details, please get in touch by email or phone and we’ll talk it through with you.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes and they make a lovely gift.
Our digital gift cards are available from £25, are emailed within minutes of purchase, and can be used on anything in the café.
Do you recommend local accommodation?
We do.
If you’re visiting Garlieston or staying nearby, we’re happy to recommend local accommodation in the area. Just ask a member of the team or drop us an email before your visit.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes there is parking available nearby in the village, within easy walking distance of the café.
Is The Hive family friendly?
Absolutely.
We’re a family-run café and welcome families of all ages. Children are very welcome, and we’re always happy to help make your visit comfortable.
